Are any tribesters here looking for a fun, relaxing and showy alternative for marching in pride?
I'll be riding my bike (for about the 4th time). It's really fun, and near the front of the parade.
Sunday June 24. I think you have to be downtown on Spear or one of the side streets entering toward Market (ride down Mission to get there).
Call 905-8854. $5-$10 donation.
SF Bike Coalition has free bike parking behind the Asian Art Museum.

Re: Mikes on Bikes - SF LGBTQwhatever Pride - ride your bike!
Thu, June 21, 2007 - 12:25 PMthanks for posting this - I was hunting for info to share with a friend who's never done it before, and yours was the only current link I could find (plus included the info line number!)
See you on the road.
Anyone else doing this for the first time, you should show up before 10. And while dressing up is not mandatory, you'll enjoy it more. Trust me. It's awesome getting to help lead off one of the largest pride celebrations in the world!
If you're interested in Bike activism, you can help the SFBC with the bike parking task throughout the day -
From www.sfbike.org/
"The SFBC provides safe & free Valet Bike Parking at events around the City. Contact Kash at 415/431-BIKE x374 if you're an event coordinator or to help with valet bicycle parking. "
